Why would you want to remove this wonderful feature? I use it heaps.

I private message myself to test things, like testing new chat colours, or testing hub scripts that react to certain words. Its very handy.

It doesn't make sense to add support for dc++ for be able to detect every single type of unfinished download from other programs, people should just be smart enough to not share that kind of thing. Is there anything particularly obvious about the name of a non finished torrent file?

Isn't the hash for the file stored in the queue.xml file? meaning that you could likely shut down dc++, open the queue in notepad and delete the hash. This is a rather unusual idea for DC though, unlike ftp DC hubs do not allow multiple people using the same account to login, so why you'd want to advertise the username/login is beyond me.

I dont see how a 50% chance of kicking the guilty person is a good thing, infact i can see many people purposely abusing this system to try get people they dislike kicked.

Also have you thought about connection timeouts? and/or people disconnecting from the hub after they have the slot?

I'm not sure if dc++ decides which file to get until its actually connected, the other thing my code does is check if its a download first, ie it doesn't do anything if you right click an upload and remove it.

I think this feature sounds fair enough, no need to do a full rescan of all the files but just write the filelist out again after hashing is finished. (if its not too expensive it could be updated a few times during hashing).
