that's the weird thing, works really well for some people but then others are getting connection timeouts, or like me

The internal IP will never work for anyone but you or other computers on your local network. The reason the public IP isn't working for other people is that you have to configure your router to redirect incoming traffic to that local IP. The process is the same as configuring DC++ for active mode. ...

You still have your internal ip registerd. The first thing you should do is getting your external ip registerd. Like I said, I did that.
