Sorry about the extended absence.

I put the domain in and used /connection, and groaned: My fault, I long since forgot that I aliased the domain to localhost on there for internal use. Eh. Once I chose another alias it worked fine. Thanks for the help and pointers though.

Did you put in the domain name and port in both sections (connection & searching) ? There is/was a bug in BCDC that required you to, in order to be in true active mode. Not before, but I checked it out just now. No go, holmes. Same domain in both fields, same port in both fields, no connections or ...

However, I do not understand why it would require stepping closer to multi-source downloading. That it would entail work on the client back end is only natural, but there is nothing that says that hashed/patch resume requires multi-source downloading, even though it would marry naturally with such ...

This came up while searching, and I'd just like to add, could you state in the readme or right on the conf panel that domains are valid as well? That totally threw me for some time, same issue as the thread starter. The ideal configuration would probably be: Active IP or hostname Port Connection: [ ...

What the hell. It's Sunday, and I'm still in recovery; I have nothing better to do and I want this feature. I'll give it a stab. *thinks* Probably a hardcoded list of types of tabs and order of types, possibly along with a insertion sort, would be the best to start. My feelings: Public hubs Favorite...

Slot Size Types

I didn't see this on search, but I'm not really sure what to search for either. Right now, "small files" get a free download, pretty much. What I would like is greater control of slots along that vein - 100 unlisted slots for throwaway "small files", 5 slots for "medium" (user configurable, but I'd ...

Now that TTH is implemented it makes this thread's feature far more accurate. I'd have posted my new thread last week in here instead if I'd seen it. ^.~

How about sorting and grouping the tabs into related categories, a la WinXP? I know mine tends to become a bit of a hellish jungle after a long night of chat and searching. A prettier type of listing than tabs (which I think is what he's getting at) might be pleasing but not that useful.

Oh, how soon we forget DC++k (And its spinoff, CDM.) Its primary purpose, and nearly all of its spiffy recent features, are related to finding and stopping faking. Please, if you want to be rid of fakers, find and use the right tools, instead of coming up with wildly unusable ones.

Look into DC++k. The entire point of most of its mods are to sniff out the variety of fakers. Note that development stopped at the .251 branch, so it might be somewhat outdated. You'll have to read the changelog or email the creator to figure out how to use them.

Group by Hash

Not sure if this is slated to be in .402 yet, but I think it's an extremely important and integral part of adopting hashing. I didn't find it in search, so here it is. I'm of the opinon that all searches, no matter what the selected sort order is, should be grouped by their hash to identify all iden...

TTH: List of non-unique files.

Glancing at the status bar on the bottom after hashing is finished, especially a mouseover that brings up the last few changes, I found that I have a few duplicate files. Oops! However, the only information given is what file is the dupe and where it is, and only shows the last few. It would be extr...

I've found that some hubs I frequent will kick/ban you for sharing incomplete files, especially WINMX-style ones (__INCOMPLETE__953629o87oye8l....). Since my DC download folder is also my winmx, bittorrent, and kazaa folder, it's a complete mess and utterly unsuitable for searching. (Sometimes even ...
