The amount of people in a hub doesn't attract my attention: it's the description or name that does. I'm generally content specific. There's only 5 or so hubs in the dreamland hublist for example: Trance Genre.

Perhaps a section could have multiple hublists where they then branch off to the hubs. An Explorer like setup would be good but would take ages to load. With the current failsafe hublist method the users can only download one hublist at a time, then change the list, refresh, and so on. It isn't very...

Could the PublicHuB section be changed so that users can enter multiple hub lists and open one of them based on the number of many Hubs and Users; and the Total share size for each list. If the list needs to be downloaded to find out this information, then perhaps a PublicHubList List could be made ...

Second suggestion was for sources to store IPs and check that IP against other nicknames in the hub and then add the source. (setting aside multiple clients in one hub ethics) This method would restore an offline source "if" that user changed their nickname.

Could a "Remove Offline Sources" function be added to the context menu for objects in Queue? As users will quite often change their username. Perhaps a routine to check and IP Zone against a nickname could be made but a remove "Remove Offline Sources" would be preferable.

Could an IP column for a fav'ed user be implimented to see if the user is infact that user and not some newbie who stole the name.

Could an IP column be implemented in 403 or next release? Following a format like this:

This would be useful for operators trying to keep an eye on dialup users who continueously brake rules. Yes, a hub could do this but it's very difficult without permissions and with ban resets.

No, I don't see how it can't be done. If it's possible to run multiple variants of DC at one time then why not make it possible for multiple users/share-profiles in DC++?

Ok, If there were NO Slots Available from any user then I would search for more sources with available slots THEN crop the available ones. NOT to go against the DC community or anything, but in a LAN wouldn't it be better to just use a switch and connect the computers with some version of Windows and then right click your folder you want to share goto properties and set it as a shared folder...blahblah, et cetera? Sure a server is good...

Sounds like a good idea. You'd have a bit of trouble getting it to accurately drop the source though, especially if the source decides to load a web page or something and the DL speed goes down for a second. Best way is just to monitor it manually. =P

I'd like to affectively have in the context menu something along the lines of: "Crop Sources With Slots" so that when a source decides to lower their slot count or one it taken, they are removed from the queue leaving the file with fewer "Active" sources an "No sources without slots" for the file.
