Am I wrong, or are you speaking about BCDC ? I can't see this option in vanillia DC++ (didn't try with my third eye).BSOD2600 wrote:DC++ can log partial uploads. Go to the advanced tab, check "partial uplod logging" To my knowlege, thats all the partial up/downloading DC logs.

Might be included in the hub window, to the right, with a check box (as for the userlist) disabled by default, so that you could easily use it on the hubs of your choice. I don't think that every hub in the same window is a good choice. If you are in a 300 users hub and in a 20 users hub, the bigest...

Connecting to yourself
While running hub and DC++ on the same computer, try to connect to 127.0.0.1. If it works, your routing table is probably wrong in some way. If it doesn't, then you have a problem with the hub itself (did you start it ? Is it running on the standard 411 port ?).

You have to send a $MyINFO.
Where sBotName is a string holding the name of your Bot, and i an integer setting the icon to be displayed by NMDC.
Code: Select all
colUsers.SendToAll "$MyINFO $ALL "&sBotName&" Description$ $"&chr(i)&"$$0$"

IMO, since the DC protocol has been published, and new clients have been released, incompatibily with neomodus software is not an issue. If the hub you want to connect to does not support the client you're using, it's up to you to get another client. If J. Hess wants his software to be compliant to ...

Off topic Marvin throwing two cents
Well, there is an easy (lazy) way (I do this for a long time) : just put the bitrate in the name of the file, or the foldername, or a dummy file. Set is as a good behaviour/rule in your hub (or among the users you wish to share music with). Of course you can replace "bitrate" with "bitrate and encod...

As GargoyleMT wrote, rating systems should handle this properly (and much more).
Your solution is too partial IMO, as it deals with maximum, not actual statistics.

The DC++ package doesn't include queue file, nor setting file. The EXE creates them on first start if they do not exist. The only issue in losing settings/queue is when changing the way DC++ handles them, wich would be stated in the changelog.txt (the most usefull file when it comes to upgrading, IM...
