This has been discussed before, no need to start a new thread.

You can post in the original one, and read this one, that other one, and finaly the one named Multistreaming.

Closing the search window won't stop other users to send you their response to your query. So all you'll save is GPU, CPU and display (not much though). There is simply no StopSendingTheSearchResultsIAskedYou command in the protocol.

I think I got it this time : here is the user command you should use :

Code: Select all

<%mynick> #ban;%[nick];%[line:Reason]
With the bot's nick in the PM To box.

PS : Do not forget the blankspace between > and #.

I might not understand what you said. Did you try to send the command to the bot (aka script) in a private message window or in the main chat ?

However, If you want to be able to type them in a PM and that didn't work, your script need some tuning.

Connecting to yourself

While running hub and DC++ on the same computer, try to connect to 127.0.0.1. If it works, your routing table is probably wrong in some way. If it doesn't, then you have a problem with the hub itself (did you start it ? Is it running on the standard 411 port ?).

You have to send a $MyINFO.

Code: Select all

colUsers.SendToAll "$MyINFO $ALL "&sBotName&" Description$ $"&chr(i)&"$$0$"
Where sBotName is a string holding the name of your Bot, and i an integer setting the icon to be displayed by NMDC.

Well, there is an easy (lazy) way (I do this for a long time) : just put the bitrate in the name of the file, or the foldername, or a dummy file.
