Besides, DC++ is a great network for local file sharing on a LAN etc. Students at our campus use DC++ on a local hub to transfer Comp. Sci. programs etc. back and forth. Would be very interesting to see a ppc port.

I was also thinking about this as being a great feature. As was mentioned in a seperate thread it would allow you to better get an idea of what IP ranges you connect to with the most stability and best speed.

Sorry, have looked through many pages and haven't really seen anything related tot his yet. I seem to notice once in a while that DC++ will auto-search for alternate download location (which I have intentionally set) but then get stuck on one guy at "Download starting". I have a version of DC++ I keep updated for me and quite a few of my friends because we all search for pdf's etc when looking for manuals etc. HTML documents are lousy, generally worthless documents that are not correctly coded for cross browser use 99% of the time.
