What hub software are you using? Somewhere in it will be an option to ignore the IP check for certain nicks and/or IP addresses. Add yourself there. Didn't find a setting for individual users but there was one in the general security section for Check sender IP on sear/ConnectToMe . Have unchecked ...

Oh sorry! Thought I'd included that info but missed it out. I use YnHub. I've tried the YnHub forum but that appears to be no longer working. I've used both the 127.0.0.1 and 192.168.0.XX to connect to the hub but both give the invalid ip error due to having the client setup for active on the extern...
