generating Geoipcountrywhois.csv
How is this file generated (it is different from the one on the maxmind site, i understand you do not use their API at all). From what i can see you have removed everything except the 32-bit 'end' value for each range and the country code and ordered it by this 'end' value. Is this correct? Original...

I think he was referring to this: http://webcache-emule.sourceforge.net/ Haven't seen it in action myself as my ISP does not run a HTTP proxy. If it was going to be implemented, the users could use $ConnectToMe to establish a connection as normal, then use that connection to negotiate use of a proxy...

Loading window
This is a very simple request. I would like to see the loading dialog ("Loading shared files..." etc) changed, as it does take a while (~5 mins) to load and is annoying to have in the way of what I am trying to do. Maybe just showing a button on the taskbar with the text "DC++ loading..." or even ju...

DC++ as service source code available
I have a DC++ client.lib based DC client that runs as a service on windows nt and is controlled remotely by a wxWindows interface across the network. I haven't worked on it for ages, but its reasonable stable ( I have hardly tested it ) so I will send the source code to anyone who wants to work on i...

footers on source files
while browsing the source code i noticed that there are footers at the bottom of each file. Are these created automatically by CVS or another program?
eg:
eg:
<pre>/**
* @file
* $Id: DirectoryListing.h,v 1.27 2004/04/24 09:40:58 arnetheduck Exp $
*/</pre>

Binary protocol
It would save alot of bandwith to use a binary protocol like most other major p2p networks. This could save a lot of bandwith. EG instead of $Search <clientip>:<clientport> <searchstring> you could use an 1 byte OpCode to represent the $Search, 1 or 2 bytes to show the length of the search string an...
