using a wireless router could indeed be a good idea. i don't know about optimizing the speeds, sure there are some "secrets", but i'm afraid you won't get so great results (going from 30kbps to 80kbps for instance, but i don't see how you could get 100 times more...). however, don't waste your time ...

Heh, I've made a (ugly hack) patch now that actually works. It "deletes" the files/dirs to Recycle bin from Finished Downloads Frame. SHFileOperation should do it :)

using a no-ip / dyndns / etc address shouldn't be related to hosting a hub; if your IP changes a lot, you already need such a program for DC++ or the client you use (to be in active mode).

and btw, in my country, most people have static IP addresses... :wink:

maybe you could create a CRichEditCtrl by yourself, in the code, instead of using the ressource editor. this is what i did to replace the settings' listviews by ExListViews, so maybe you could something of this kind.

i'm not sure checking only the version would be good enough, remember DC++ is open-source...

you could check with some DC++ mod made for OPs, which can warn you if the user doesn't have enough hashed files for instance.

could IP be a better way to uniquely identify users in NMDC? of course, if there are 2 people with 2 computers behind the same router, there might be some problem, but i think "nick+IP" seems better than "nick+hub". i may be wrong :?:
