Find the IP address of your uni hub. Then go to the golden star at the top of BCDC++ click it and it will open a new tab. Click add, enter in the ip address of your uni's hub and click ok. Then tick the check box next to the entry you have just made (this will make it auto connect on start up of BCD...

DC++ website slow down
Hi, is it just me or is anyone else seeing an incredible slow down of the dc++ website. So far it has taken me 20mins today just to be able to post this. This isn’t the first day I have noticed this its being going on for about a week or so and I just though some server upgrades or hosting problems ...

I left BCDC++ run for three or four days straight without shutting down the computer to get the files. According to my download queue there are no more files to download but I’m missing all the files that are in my incomplete folder. I guess the only way to get those file is to download them again o...

dctmp files
Hi what can be done about stoping DC from download a file and then just leaving it as a dctmp file? At the moment I am downloading 150gb worth of files onto my second hard drive and I keep running out of room on my primary hard drive (the temp file folder is here) because DC keeps leaving what appea...

It’s not worth trying to fix the problem with oDC. The only thing I have found oDC good for is win9X pc and even now I’m thinking of requiring win9X people to move to fulDC or even DC++ now that it is using unicows again. Remove oDC from your computer (don’t forget to save any favourite hubs before ...

The simplest way would to be configure ynhub how ever you want it and save a copy onto each of the backup computers. Then if the main ynhub server went down ring up who ever and has the backup server and have them load their copy up. Now depending on how you have configured yhnub (whether it has a d...

shakespeer is your best bet, I have a few mac users on my hub and they are a pain in the arse mainly because no one seems to make a good mac client (well at least one we have found that works well out side of shakespeer). If you cant get shakespeer to work (make sure you are installing it correctly)...

I would agree that they will shut you down under the contract of you not being allowed to run a server. Fortunately for me my university hasn’t put that in their contract. If yours hasn’t stated it and they try to shut you down then you might be able to argue that they are in breech of the contr...

Search spy times don’t sort correctly
Hi, I’m using BCDC++ 0.689a (just updated to from 0.687b) and I have noticed with both version that the search spy time stamps don’t get arranged correctly when you sort the results by time. At the moment results from 8:00pm to 9:59pm are arrange in order correctly but then results from 10:00pm ...

I run the hub so accessing the hub software (ynhub) isn’t a problem neither is grabbing everyone's file list or bandwidth (LAN), I want to find out the most common files on the hub. I have no idea what so ever out writing scripts or modifying things. Any help if it can be given is much appreciated...

Complete share list
Hi, is there anyway to get a complete share list from my hub (I’m not sure if this is a dc question of a hub question). What I want to know is can I go search for all files on dc (I just want to see what the most popular files are and other random stuff relating to popularity of files).
Thx

We run a hub as uni, the best thing to do it by a pc that is just capable of running xp (we are running dc on a p3 650mhz, 128mb ram on a 4gh hdd), a cheap switch our router and then find a spare room or a room that someone doesn’t sleep in because they sleep else where and set it up in there.
