i didn't fix this error, but you shouldn't compile it on edgy as you shouldn't run it on edgy...
edgy is in no way suitable to run as a server ^^ use dapper for that.

and even dapper isn't that good as a server.....
if you want it to run stable for months use debian ;-)

i didn't say it was the solution but it sometimes works...
but if they aren't moved after 3 days then clearly something else is wrong, but i don't have enough coding experience to call it a bug this instant....

I solved some more errors... but it seems adch++ will compile by just extracting boost into the directory without compiling it.

now i have a working adch++ but it doesn't get beyond connecting...

makes no difference

i did do ./configure in STLPort/build/lib
and make -f gcc.mak depend before doing make -f gcc.mak install

as i said, i suspect something is missing but i'm not quite sure what it is

true to some degree but over here in the usa where most personal users have dynamic ip addresses it is necessary because for example my ip address chances every 3 days or so that means i would have to give all users the new ip address everytime it changes plus, im not a big fan of giving out my ip ...

I advise you to connect to your hub using 127.0.0.1 if it's running on the same computer, or using your hubservers internal ip to connect...
otherwise filetransfers in your hub could be limited to passive only.

i've decided that probably a plugin could do the trick, as long as it can intercept any communication from the hub to the users...
if that isn't the case i can forget writing a plugin :(

there's a bot for php too... with a little tweaking you can have it send $BotINFO the address is http://phpdcbot.sourceforge.net

you'll need to fix the sending of password but that shouldn't be such a problem

the problem is that most hubs won't block 0.401 untill the normal users stop using dcdm, i will try to force people to use another client, but not to the cost of losing lots and lots of users...

with ynhub i don't think you can do much about it as ynhub doesn't support scripting and hasn't got a setting to limit the amount of nicks from 1 ip. maybe it's in the next release keep an eye out for new versions =) *edit which should be part of basic deflood though.... *edit2 just found the approp...
