Search for directory?

Well, I know this might sound stupid but how come there is not a search filter for directory like there are for audio, video, compressed, etc? I think this would be useful and I think it might be a good feature to add. That is the ability to search for a directory just like you would an audio or vid...

Re: Remove All Sources

Anyways, this type of feature wouldn’t be that hard to implement either. Please, don't say such things. If you can do it, submit a patch. If you cannot, please don't try to estimate how hard it is or how long it would take. :) That aside, one of the real solutions per the original descriptio...

Re: Remove All Sources

The Problem: You search by filename and find hundreds of search results with many TTHs. You then sort by TTH and look for the for the most popular one because the odds are better to find someone sharing it (It also promotes the overall health of the filesharing system). Mind you, you have to do thi...

Yes you can actually, as long as you only add one file with a different extension at a time, try it. It is a known bug that you can't add multiple files with different extensions at once. See this bugzilla entry for more information. just tried it...it woks but only with one at a time like you said...

thats what i'm saying

That’s what I’m saying...the download to option works great and so does the hashing but at this point (as of 0.4034) you are not able to add another download source if the file extension does not match that of your initial source’s extension even though the hashes match. Right n...

People changing extensions to avoid downloaders.

Well, As the title states, this seems to be a growing problem. Here is what is happening, I have noticed that a growing number of people are changing file extension to avoid downloaders. As I see the problem I also looked for a solution, when I realized that hashing your files is now required. Anywa...

Re: all talk no work...

I also know I could not do it as I am no programmer, but I do think that this type of feature should be a goal for the development team.. I refer you to my previous post. If you respect the work myself and others do, don't try to dictate how we spend our time. There are lots of really good feature ...

Re: all talk no work...

Read it all, good discussion but that’s about it. If you'd like to volunteer your time, then hear from a user that you're not doing a good enough job, be my guest. Really. I in no way suggested that I could do a better job then the current development team. To be exact I think they ha...

Regarding encryption have that been discussed before. Check http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=35&sid=b1a900926d27f6bb8d4be131b24e059f (it's a lot to read but don't post bck unti you've read all of it) And the development hasn't slowed down what I can tell. It is just so that m...

Built-In End-to-End Data Encryption Engine

Well, I’ve been using DC++ for some time. I really love it and wouldn’t stop using it for anything. Anyway I was just thinking all the stuff I download and share and I just realized that all this stuff is sent “in the open so that any nosy snooper can view the contents theo...
